1) Registration for Spring 2015 on Monday.

2) Try the homophone matching game (words that sound the same but have different meanings).

3) Rhyming matching games. Rhymes are words that have similar ending sounds.

4) This vocabulary game is fun.

5) Learn restaurant vocabulary

Upon successful completion of this course, you will be able to:

A. Demonstrate understanding of spoken English in familiar contexts well enough to participate in simple conversations.

B. Demonstrate ability to speak about basic needs and common activities.

C. Use basic word analysis skills to determine the meaning of new words in level appropriate material.

D. Demonstrate understanding of short, simplified readings on familiar topics containing previously learned vocabulary.

E. Compose sentences and write short messages or notes related to survival skills and personal topics.

F. Use beginning level language structures and forms.

G. Use appropriate computer technology to access commercial software, teacher-authored

software and/or CD-ROM disks.
